Flutes By  T.C. COFFREN
This Aromatic Cedar Double Drone
Flute with Flying Hawk saddle in
Black Walnut was created on 9/11.
As Spotted Wolf was carving in the
forest he had no idea what was
happening in the outside world.
Strange he was carving a
two-barreled flute with a flying bird
saddle on that sad day. The song
on this flute is a very sad sound
but beautiful. It remains in his
private collection to this day.
This Aromatic Cedar flute with
Healing Bear saddle is a
beautiful example of a
decorated flute. It is Beaded in
the Peyote style which involves
the actual bead by bead
stitching directly on the flute !
Also the Saddle ties are wrap
beaded and macromae with
horse hair and sinew.
Flute is in the private
collection of CarrolAnne of

This Low toned flute is in the key of E below middle C. It measure 47 inches long
which is why you see a brass mouth piece added to the top instead of a straight
blow hole. It is made of White Pine and aromatic cedar and features a Crescent
Moon Saddle in Aromatic Cedar with horse hair ties and brass cones. The incredible
low tones that issue forth with this flute is beautiful and quiet. TCC/2004

Now picture yourself playing your flute along a quiet
river on a warm sunny day as the river sings it's song
adding a rich sound scape to your channeled song.
You are listening to a song by T.C.
Coffren titled, "Song for the
ignorance of the lowly weed."
